£10,300 EPT High Roller
Day 1 Started
Welcome to Day 1 of the EPT London £10,300 High Roller, which gets underway at 12:30 p.m. BST inside the wonderful Hilton Park Lane.
This event is the penultimate five-figure buy-in tournament of the PokerStars European Poker Tour London, and is heavily expected to be the most attended yet.
Juan Pardo, Byron Kaverman, Henrik Hecklen and Daniel Dvoress have already tasted High Roller glory in the English capital, and are all expected to be in contention.
The plan of action for Day 1 is to play ten 60-minute levels, with those bagging and tagging a stack for Day 2 should they be able to navigate the high-calibre minefield. The tournament permits a single reentry, however players can bypass the starting flight as late registration is open until the start of Day 2.
Entrants will begin with a 50,000 starting stack, which is good for 250 big blinds. Furthermore, a 30-second shot clock will be active from the get go and players will receive eight time bank cards before play. They'll then be given seven cards on Level 1, six cards on Level 2 & 3, five cards on Level 4 & 5 and four cards on Level 6 & higher. Those who opts to buy-in on Day 2 will receive just five time bank cards.
The field will go on a 15-minute break after every two levels of play, with the dinner break taking place after Level 6, which should be around 7 p.m. local time.
