Lococo Caught Speeding

Level 9 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Rodrigo Sirichuk opened to 2,500 from under the gun and was called by Laszlo Molnar and Alejandro Lococo from middle position and the big blind respectively.

The {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop checked through to the {3-Spades} turn. Lococo bet 4,000 and only Molnar called.

Lococo then fired for 12,600 on the {5-Clubs} river and Molnar quickly called again. Lococo had the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for king-high while Molnar had {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for two pair.

Queens for Bruschi

Level 9 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Renan Bruschi and Pablo Brito Silva were heads-up and on the turn with the {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{a-Hearts} board on show. Silva check-called in the big blind after Bruschi bet 10,000 into a pot of 15,500.

The river was a brick and both players checked back. Silva had a pair of tens with his {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} but was bested by the pocket queens of Bruschi.

Neves Almost Back to Starting Stack

Level 9 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

One of the stories of the day is the impressive comeback from Pedro Gois Neves.

Neves, was left with just 400 chips earlier on, which accounted for a single big blind. Well the Portugese player has been able to spin that back to 46,000. Much to the amazement of the table.

He just added some more chips to his stack after moving all in for 35,700. Simon Higgins opened to 2,500 from under the gun and was called by Danny Pyke and Daniel Marques. Neves jammed and each of his opponents quickly folded.

Watson's Quads End Amiri's Night

Level 9 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Michael Watson
Michael Watson

Ehsan Amiri and Mike Watson were heads up to the turn on a board showing {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and plenty of chips already in the pot.

Amiri check-called 17,500 to the {8-Spades} river, where Watson bet even bigger sliding out a 100,000 chip stack. That was more than enough to cover Amiri, who sat back to ponder his decision.

After using all three of his remaining time banks, Amiri removed his sunglasses to get a better look at Watson from across the table. Amiri then made the call, turning up {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. He quickly saw it was no good, as Watson revealed {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for flopped quads to eliminate Amiri.

Routier Doubles Through Suvarna

Level 9 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jonathan Proudfoot raised from under the gun to 2,300, and Santhosh Suvarna called in middle position. Jeremy Routier then three-bet all in from the small blind for his last 21,000, and Proudfoot quickly got out of the way. Suvarna made the call, and the hands were turned over.

Jeremy Routier: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Santhosh Suvarna: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

Routier was solidly in front as the board was dealt, and the {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} runout changed nothing as he earned the double up.
