Newey Steals an Early Pot

Level 1 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Adrian Mateos opened to 2,500 from the hijack and was called by Sam Grafton on the button and Paul Newey in the big blind.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and the action checked to Grafton who took a stab with a bet of 2,000. Newey called and Mateos got out of the way. The turn brought the {j-Spades} and Newey led out with a bet of 5,500. Grafton quickly folded and Newey was awarded the pot.
