Lococo leads the remaining 29 who will combine with the Day 1b survivors on Saturday 22nd October. Other notables who survived include Gianluca Speranza (40,000), Renan Bruschi (185,000) and Alexandre Reard (212,000).

Lococo was short stacked for much of the day but built a stack before the bubble and continued to build on the bubble by putting pressure on the short stacks. Mateusz Wozniak had a big stack for much of the day but will be returning with around an average stack.

The bubble lasted a while but it was German Leonard Maue was fell victim to it as the EPT Barcelona €25,000 high roller champion shoved ace four from the small blind only to run into Charlie Hawes's pocket nines in the big blind. Endrit Geci managed to sneak into Day 2 and hence the money with just 14,000 as a result of Maue's elimination.

Action will resume at 12 p.m. local time with ten minutes left on the 3,000/6,000 blind level with a 6,000 big blind ante where play will continue until a champion is crowned.

Stay tuned to PokerNews for all the action tomorrow where the live reporting team will report until a winner.
