Cowen Wins Huge Pot, Takes Chip Lead

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The chip lead has moved from Adrian Mateos to Andriy Lyubovetskiy, and now to Robert Cowen after a pot involving all three.

Lyubovetskiy opened in the cutoff to 200,000, Mateos called on the button, and Cowen called in the big blind.

The trio saw a flop of {4-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{a-Spades}, which Cowen checked. Lyubovetskiy continued for 100,000, Mateos folded, and Cowen called.

On the {9-Diamonds} turn, Cowen checked again and Lyubovetskiy bet another 200,000. Cowen called once more.

The river brought the {2-Spades}, which Cowen checked a final time, and again Lyubovetskiy bet, this time for 500,000.

Cowen responded by moving all-in for just under 2,500,000.

Lyubovetskiy gave the decision some thought but opted to muck his cards and cede his chip lead to Cowen, who now has over four million in chips.
