Karakousis Eliminated on the Bubble by Cooler

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Georgios Karakousis
Georgios Karakousis

Georgios Karakousis was once chip leader of the tournament, but he has now the unfortunate distinction of being the bubble boy.

Simon Lofberg opened to 20,000 in the cutoff, which was called on the button by Alexander Ivarsson. Karakousis then moved all in for 85,000 from the big blind. Lofberg folded, but Ivarsson called.

Georgios Karakousis: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Alexander Ivarsson: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Karakousis was primed to survive through the {5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop, but the {7-Hearts} on the turn brought Karakousis to within one card of a heartbreaking bubble finish.

The {4-Diamonds} fell on the river, and the demise of Karikousis from chip leader to bubble boy was sadly completed.

The remaining 39 players are now all in the money and guaranteed to take home at least €18,140
