Tournament Recap

EPT Online 19: $530 NLHE [8-Max] got underway yesterday at 2:05 p.m. eastern time, and it quickly filled up to the 1,000 entry maximum. From there, they played down toward the 119 paid spots, and it was a race whether they'd hit the money before the six and three quarter hours scheduled for Day 1 expired. When Day 1 ended, they hadn't quite made the money. Instead, they ended the day on the stone bubble, with 120 players left in action.

It only took a few hands on Day 2 to burst the bubble. Jans "Graftekkel" Arends was the unfortunate bubble player, but action took off from there. It took about three and a half hours to play down to the final two tables and another hour till the final table was set. Among the players to fall on the way to the final table was PokerStars Team Online member Arlie "Prince Pablo" Shaban. He made it to 48th place for about $1,700 in combined wins.

After a brief hiccup at the start, Palau dominated the final table play. After Caio "sombra97" Mayrinck scored the first final table bounty taking out Marc-Andre "FrenchDawg" Ladouceur, Palau got there with a four-card flush to take their first bounty from the final table.

Ognyan "cocojamb0" Dimov took out the next two players, but after that, Palau went on a run, eliminating the rest of the field. "Gamblitz_13" made a valiant effort to fight back three-handed, but eventually ran Broadway into Palau's rivered boat to end in third place.

"wimmaz" was in rough shape, getting to heads up at a 7:1 disadvantage in chips. They managed to double up once when their ace-queen held against a suited gapper, but ultimately ran into the Palau steam roller, rivering a flush after Palau turned a full house.
