Chen Doubles Through Sarkarov

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Pete Chen
Pete Chen

Chips have changed hands between Pete Chen and Elvin Sarkarov recently and now they have changed back again.

Sarkarov opened the action on the button and Chen called the small blind. The flop was {4-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Chen check-raised Sarkarov's 24,000 continuation bet to 120,000. Back on Sarkarov and he moved all in, which Chen couldn't call quick enough.

Pete Chen: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Elvin Sarkarov: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

It was a set for Chen versus Sarkarov's overpair. The turn was the {q-Clubs} and now it was only two nines that Chen needed to fade, in order to stay in contention. The river bricked the {7-Hearts} and he is back up to near his peak earlier.

Ramon Colillas Eliminated in 7th Place for ₽1,368,500 ($21,036)

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Ramon Colillas
Ramon Colillas

The eliminations continue to come in thick and fast. With less than an hour of play under their belts, we have just lost another player and this time it's Team PokerStars Pro Ramon Colillas who has exited.

Colillas opened all in for 250,000 on the button and Elvin Sarkarov called in the small blind. Pete Chen got out the way and they turned their cards on their backs.

Elvin Sarkarov: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Ramon Colillas: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

It was off to the races but the {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop gave Sarkarov a set and left Colillas in very big trouble. The {6-Spades} turn locked it up for Sarkarov, with the {5-Diamonds} river irrelevant and we have to say goodbye to Colillas.

Irshat Shaykhov Eliminated in 8th Place for ₽1,071,000 ($16,462)

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Irshat Shaykhov
Irshat Shaykhov

It has been a terrible day for Irshat Shaykhov. First he got it all in preflop against Sergey Kolyasnikov with ace-queen versus queen-jack and lost and now he has just suffered his second outdraw in 40 minutes.

Elvin Sarkarov opened to 26,000 and Maksim Bukreev called from the small blind. Irshat Shaykhov was in the big blind and he raised 114,000 all in. Sarkarov called and when the action came back to Bukreev, he went all in for 466,000 total. Sarkarov decided it was too much and passed.

Maksim Bukreev: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Irshat Shaykhov: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Bukreev needed to hit and he didn't have to wait long, with the flop coming down {2-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{10-Spades}. The turn was the {3-Spades} and only the case queen could save Shaykhov now. The river was the {9-Diamonds} though and he hits the rail in 8th place, while Bukreev is sat third in the counts now after winning that hand.

Kolyasnikov Doubles Through Shaykhov

Sergey Kolyasnikov has gotten involved in most of the hands dealt at the final so far. Just now he raised to 30,000 and Irshat Shaykhov went all in for 378,000. Kolyasnikov made the call and once again he was the underdog.

Sergey Kolyasnikov: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Irshat Shaykhov: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Shaykhov was a long way ahead, until the flop came {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, giving him a flush draw. The {j-Diamonds} turn left Shaykhov with just two aces in the deck to hit. Neither of them came on the {6-Clubs} river and Kolyasnikov doubled up, leaving Shaykhov very short.

Colillas Doubles Through Kolyasnikov

Ramon Colillas

Sergey Kolyasnikov opened to 25,000 and Ramon Colillas three-bet all in for 125,000. After using a time bank card, Kolyasnikov made the call but when the cards went over, it was he who needed to hit.

Ramon Colillas: [aacth]
Sergey Kolyasnikov: {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Kolyasnikov needed running cards now to take the hand. The {a-Diamonds} turn locked it up for Colillas and the PSPC Champion gets a much-needed double.

Kolyasnikov Moves on Sarkarov

Sergey Kolyasnikov opened to 20,000 and it folded to Elvin Sarkarov in the big blind. He made it 51,000 to play and Kolyasnikov four-bet all in. It was a tank fold from Sarkarov and Kolyasnnikov has made back some of the chips he had dropped over the first 20 minutes of play.

First hand, first elimination. With less than 14 big blinds, Daniil Kiselev got it all in against Pete Chen.

Pete Chen: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Daniil Kiselev: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The {6-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} board connected for Chen, giving him trip queens and it is the end for Kiselev. Eight players remain.
