Heinke Takes from Burns

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

There was a three-bet pot preflop in which Simon Burns opened from early position and called a small three-bet from Philipp Heinke, who was in the hijack. The flop came {8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Burns checked to Heinke, who made a continuation-bet of 220,000. Burns called.

With around 975,000 in the pot, the turn was {7-Clubs}. Burns checked again and Heinke continued, putting out another bet for 440,000. Burns thought for close to two minutes and then settled on a call.

The river fell {7-Hearts}. Burns checked one last time and Heinke put out a bet of 525,000. Burns went deep into the tank, ultimately resulting in another player calling a clock on him after over six minutes of thought. He used up half of the allotted 30 seconds before slamming down a chip to call.

Heinke immediately tabled {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} in a confident fashion that his top pair was good. Burns slammed down his cards to muck them; meanwhile, Heinke stood up and gave a quick fist pump before sitting right back down.

"Let's go!" he said quietly under his breath as he stacked his chips.
