Mattila Shows One Ace, Claims Another

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Giorgiy Skhulukhiya was in the cutoff and opened to 105,000. He was three-bet to 315,000 by Jussi Mattila in the big blind and called to see a flop of {8-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades}. Mattila fired out a continuation-bet out of 200,000, sending Skhulukhiya into the tank.

"Show?" asked Skhulukhiya after close to a minute. Mattila nodded and Skhulukhiya folded.

Mattila turned over {a-Clubs}, prompting a reaction from Skhulukhiya.

"Ace!" said Mattila, pointing to the card that was not exposed. Skhulukhiya did not want to believe him, but he kept insisting. "Do you want to bet?" he asked. Skhulukhiya did not engage.

"Then I don't show," Mattila said, raking in the chips from the pot he had just won.
