Turmezey Fills Up Versus Mateos' Flush

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Peter Turmezey

Adrian Mateos opened to 2,500 on the button and was three-bet to 12,000 by Peter Turmezey in the big blind. Mateos thought amidst Turmezey's stare from across the table for a couple of seconds before throwing out chips to call.

The flop fell {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Turmezey made a continuation-bet of 8,500. Mateos called, bringing the turn {a-Clubs} on board. Turmezey checked over to Mateos and he fired out 12,000, which Turmezey called.

The river came {a-Hearts} and Turmezey checked again. Action was then on Mateos and he threw out a time extension as the 30-second timer was running out. He then reached for chips, assessing his bet size as he did so. He threw out 21,000 and Turmezey quickly called.

Mateos showed {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a flush and Turmezey tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} for a rivered full house, earning him the pot to bring him up north of 150,000 after recently registering.
