Jukovic Straightens Out to Double Up

Level 17 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Mustafa Jukovic pushed all in for 122,000 from under the gun and Steve O'Dwyer asked for a count before making the call. The rest of the table folded and the two hands were tabled with Jukovic in rough shape.

Mustafa Jukovic: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Steve O'Dwyer: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

The flop of {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} to give Jukovic a straight draw and some hope. The {10-Hearts} paired the board on the turn and the {q-Clubs} on the river gave Jukovic a straight. A loud roar came from that end of the table along with some clapping and whistling as well. "We're all human. We have emotion," Jukovic exclaimed.

Tang Doubles Through Jukovic To Leave Him Short

Level 17 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Danny Tang
Danny Tang

Danny Tang raised it up to 50,000 under the gun and action made its way around to Mustafa Jukovic, who defended his big blind. The two saw the flop come {4-Clubs}{a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and Jukovic led out with a bet of 55,000, which Tang called.

The turn came {k-Hearts} and Jukovic checked. Tang fired out about 83,000 and Jukovic immediately announced a check-raise all in. Tang beat him into the pot with his calling chips, much to Jukovic's chagrin.

"You have the ace, don't you?" asked Jukovic. Tang tabled his hand to confirm but Jukovic already knew he was in trouble.

Danny Tang: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Mustafa Jukovic: {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Tang found himself getting all of his chips into the middle on the turn already having Jukovic drawing dead to secure the double as the river {2-Diamonds} completed the runout, bringing Tang near an average stack and leaving Jukovic with just over five big blinds left with which to play for the time being.

Matthias Eibinger: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Sam Grafton: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Greenwood Gets a Dub

Level 16 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Sam Greenwood shoved all in for 142,000 from the hijack and received a call from Jans Arends, who was on the button. The remaining players folded and hands were turned up for the runout.

Sam Greenwood: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Jans Arends: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The board ran out clean for Greenwood, coming {7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Spades} to score him the double.

"That's what I had versus you," said Greenwood to Steve O'Dwyer, talking about a hand the two had just played.

"Ace-jack?" asked O'Dwyer. Greenwood confirmed, though it didn't sound like it at first.

"Are you saying you had queens that hand?" asked Danny Tang from across the table.

Greenwood straightened up the story: "No I had ace-jack,"

Nonetheless, Greenwood now finds himself with a workable stack with the eight remaining players' eyes set on the top prize of €463,500.

Joris Ruijs Eliminated in 9th Place (€45,960)

Level 16 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Joris Ruijs
Joris Ruijs

Joris Ruijs shoved all in for 314,000 from under the gun and Danny Tang used up a time extension from middle position before laying his hand down. Jans Arends was in the small blind and made the call without any extra time needed.

Jans Arends: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Joris Ruijs: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The flop fell {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Arends was still out front with his pocket queens. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn and the {9-Hearts} on the river couldn't save Ruijs who was forced to settle for a min-cash.

Greenwood Leaves Himself Short

Level 16 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer saw action folded to him in the hijack and opened to 40,000. Sam Greenwood three-bet him on the button to 200,000 and O'Dwyer made the call.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and O'Dwyer checked. Greenwood went into the tank, using an extension before throwing out a continuation-bet of 60,000. O'Dwyer called.

The turn was {7-Diamonds} and O'Dwyer, first to act, thought for a bit before sliding out a stack of chips large enough to put Greenwood all in. Greenwood immediately folded, leaving himself around six-and-a-half big blinds behind.

Ruijs Doubles, Schemion Eliminated on the Bubble

Level 16 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Ole Schemion
Ole Schemion

Jans Arends shipped all in from under the gun as the big stack and Joris Ruijs called off his stack of 142,000 from the big blind. They waited for the action to unfold at the other table before the cards were eventually tabled.

Joris Ruijs: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Jans Arends: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

The flop of {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} put Arends in the lead but the {k-Hearts} on the turn gave Ruijs a straight. The river was the {4-Hearts} and Ruijs doubled up.

At the other table, Ole Schemion raised to 55,000 on the button and Steve O'Dwyer three-bet to 175,000 in the small blind. Schemion four-bet shipped all in for 890,000 and O'Dwyer asked for a count before making the call.

Steve O'Dwyer: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Ole Schemion: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

It was another coin flip and the pocket tens came out victorious again on the {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts} runout. Unfortunately for Schemion, he was the casualty of a big cooler and was eliminated on the money bubble.
