Mattsson Out of Time, But Not Out of Chips

There was over 50,000 in the middle on the river with a board of and Simon Pedersen had check-raised all in from early position over a bet of 18,000 from Simon Mattsson, who was on his direct left in middle position. The raise was large enough to put Mattsson to a decision for the 75,000 that still remained in front of him.

Mattsson was deep in the tank and time on the clock was running out. The dealer leaned across the table and fanned out Mattsson's extension cards in order to see how many he had as he continued to think about his decision. A minute later, the dealer reached out again to further fan out the cards and count exactly how many he had.

Mattsson eventually folded with time running out and the pot was sent to Pedersen. Pedersen sent the dealer one of his own extension cards, and the dealer collected it before reaching over and exhausting Mattsson's supply of the cards along with it, leaving him dry on time extensions early in Day 2.

"Tell me later?" Mattsson asked Pedersen.

"Maybe," responded Pedersen.
