Andreev Busts Karmatckii

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Arsenii Karmatckii
Arsenii Karmatckii

Andrey Andreev had slipped and lost some chips while Arsenii Karmatckii more than doubled his stack late on but that would all but change when they clashed in a three-bet pot to the {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop. Karmatckii made it 9,500 to go and Andreev called to see the {j-Diamonds} on the turn.

Karmatckii now checked and Andreev quickly tossed in five T-5,000 chips for a bet of 25,000. Half a minute passed and Karmatckii jammed for around 80,000 only to receive an instant call by Andreev.

Arsenii Karmatckii: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Andrey Andreev: {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

Karmatckii found himself drawing dead with his top pair and top kicker as a meaningless {6-Hearts} completed the board on the river to almost certainly vault Andreev into the top spot for Day 1a.
