The Final Starting Flight of €1,100 French National Championship Starts at 6 P.M.
The third and final starting flight of the €1,100 French National Championship will kick-off at 6 p.m. local time at the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino European Poker Tour next to the Mediterranean sea. The big difference between the two earlier flights will be that the levels will last 30 minutes instead of 40 minutes.
The first flight of the tournament attracted 353 players and 53 advanced to Day 2 of the tournament. Day 1b already has 634 players registered with late registration closing around the start time of the final flight, Day 1c. Baptiste Carteau is the chip leader after the first flight and he bagged an impressive 607,000 after starting the day with 30,000 chips. The $25,000 PokerStars NL Hold'em Players Championship runner-up Julien Martini (539,000) sits pretty in third at the moment, but there's a chance of movement at the top of the leaderboard with Day 1b still going and Day 1c kicking-off later today.
Players that bust out of Day 1c don't have any more chances of registering a new flight or reentering this one, because this is the final flight of the tournament and there's no other flight they can register for as they bust out. Play will stop when 15% of the field is remaining and they will bag up. It is required to make Day 2 to cash in the tournament. The tournament will make use of the big blind ante format.
A big field is expected as this is the final opportunity for players to make Day 2 and the money in the French National Championship. PokerNews will be on the tournament floor to report on the tournament until all players have bagged up.
