Katzenberger Moves Up in the Counts

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Viktor Katzenberger
Viktor Katzenberger

On the cutoff, Wei Huang opened to 110,000 with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and he was called by three other players: Manig Loeser on the button with {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, Viktor Katzenberger in the small blind with {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Ryan Riess with {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} in the big blind.

The {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop improved Katzenberger to a set and everyone checked to Huang who continued for 110,000. It was enough to get Loeser and Riess out of the way but not Katzenberger.

The turn was the {k-Hearts}, giving Huang top pair and he checked behind after a check from Katzenberger.

On the {2-Hearts} river, Katzenberger made it 385,000 and Huang paid it off with his inferior hand.
