Quick Start for Leow

Level 4 : 200/500, 0 ante
Ivan Leow
Ivan Leow

Anson Tsang opened to 2,000 and Ivan Leow called before Oliver Weiss three-bet to 9,500. Both Tsang and Leow called.

The flop was {4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and it checked to Weis who bet 7,500. Tsang folded but Leow quickly announced pot and raised enough to put Weis all in.

Weis tanked and eventually folded, with Leow already up over double starting stack.

Higgs Doubles Through Pisarenko

Level 3 : 200/400, 0 ante

On a {3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} board Sam Higgs checked to Maksim Pisarenko who bet 2,800. Higgs check-raised to 13,000 and Pisarenko moved all in. Higgs called.

"Do you have eight-nine?" asked Pisarenko and Higgs nodded.

Sam Higgs: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Maksim Pisarenko: {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}

The river was the {4-Hearts} and Higgs doubled up.

Higgs Down Already

Level 3 : 200/400, 0 ante

As one Australian departs, Sam Higgs joins the field and is already down from starting. After betting pot on a river in a pot against Maksim Pisarenko, Pisarenko announced all in.

Higgs apparently open-mucked two of his cards. Pisarenko, thinking he was being called, turned over his straight.

Because Higgs had only announced pot, he now needed to clarify how much. Pisarenko had mistakenly believe this combination of showing his cards and going to put more chips in the middle was a call.

With the pot awarded to Pisarenko, he angrily slammed his cards into the table.

First Eliminations

Level 3 : 200/400, 0 ante

David Ghionoiu has become the first elimination of the day. Meanwhile Michael O'Grady was all in for 17,500 on a {8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{3-Hearts} board against Ole Schemion.

Michael O'Grady: {7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Ole Schemion: {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

The turn was the {3-Spades} and O'Grady thought he'd stayed alive on the {10-Spades} river, making a straight, but Schemion's straight was bigger and O'Grady was eliminated.
