Alexander Uskov Eliminated in 5th Place (€230,710)

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Alexander Uskov
Alexander Uskov

Alexander Uskov shipped all in for 350,000 in the cutoff and Wai Leong Chan made a quick call from the big blind. The cards were tabled and Uskov was disappointed to see that he was dominated.

Wai Leong Chan: {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Alexander Uskov: {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The flop came {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Uskov was still in search of a king. The {5-Spades} gave him a flush draw but the {9-Clubs} on the river was no help and he was eliminated in fifth place.

Uskov Down to Seven Big Blinds

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Alexander Uskov raised to 125,000 from the cutoff and was called by Matthias Eibinger in the big blind.

Eibinger check-called the 125,000 continuation-bet of Uskov when the {7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} came down on the flop.

The turn was the {3-Clubs}, Eibinger checked again. Uskov now bet 250,000 and Eibinger snap-shoved having Uskov covered. After using a time bank card, Uskov reluctantly folded to leave himself behind with seven big blinds.

Chan Knocks Eibinger Down

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The action folded to Wai Leong Chan who just limped in from the small blind. Matthias Eibinger slid forward a stack of chips, more than enough to cover Chan's stack. Chan quickly called and was at risk for 670,000.

Wai Leong Chan: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Matthias Eibinger: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} which provided Eibinger with very little help. The {10-Hearts} paired the board on the turn and Eibinger flipped his cards over as he was already drawing dead to the {9-Diamonds} on the river. Chan scored another double up and moved into second place on the leaderboard.

Uskov Finds a Double Through Eibinger

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Matthias Eibinger raised to 80,000 from under the gun and Alexander Uskov shoved on the button. Action folded back to Eibinger who asked for a count. Uskov said he had 425,000 and the dealer confirmed the amount. Eibinger called.

Alexander Uskov: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Matthias Eibinger: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{k-Spades} for Uskov to hit a pair of queens on the turn to stay alive on this final table.

Chan Squeaks Past Foxen

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Alex Foxen opened to 85,000 from under the gun and Wai Leong Chan shoved all in for 275,000 in the cutoff. Matthias Eibinger used two time banks before folding the button and Foxen quickly called.

Wai Leong Chan: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Alex Foxen: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

Chan barely held a better pocket pair than Foxen which left him in the driver's seat to double up. The board ran out {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Chan stayed alive.

Jean-Noel Thorel Eliminated in 6th Place (€180,070)

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Jean-Noel Thorel
Jean-Noel Thorel

Alex Foxen had raised from under the gun and was called by Jean-Noel Thorel in the hijack. Alexander Uskov did the same from the big blind.

The flop came {2-Spades}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}, Uskov checked, Foxen continued with a bet of 105,000. Thorel looked at the bet and snap-shoved. Uskov insta-folded and Foxen asked for a count. The dealer confirmed Thorel had 345,000 behind and Foxen quickly called.

Jean-Noel Thorel: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Alex Foxen: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Thorel had flopped a pair of jacks while Foxen had an open-ended straight draw.

The turn was the {6-Spades} which didn't change the situation but the river came with the {9-Hearts} to give Foxen the straight. Thorel sat back down but then realized that Foxen had won and got back up from his chair. Thorel made his way to the payout desk to collect his cash for finishing in sixth place today.

Heath Back in the Game

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

After doubling through Wai Leong Chan, Ben Heath finally found himself with a chip stack he could play with. Alex Foxen raised to 95,000 from the hijack and Heath called from the big blind.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Heath check-called a bet of 50,000 from Foxen. The turn brought the {7-Clubs} and both players checked to the {5-Clubs} on the river. Heath slid in a stack of 245,000 and Foxen flicked in a call.

Heath turned over {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a full house and Foxen's cards went to the muck. With that pot, Heath now has nearly 1,000,000 chips in front of him.

Heath More Than Triples

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Alex Foxen raised to 60,000 from the hijack and Matthias Eibinger called in the small blind. Ben Heath announced all-in from the big blind for 65,000 in total. Both Foxen and Eibinger called.

Eibinger and Foxen both checked through the {j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} flop to the {9-Diamonds} on the turn. Eibinger then check-called the 35,000 bet of Foxen.

The river completed the board with the {10-Spades} on which both Eibinger and Foxen checked. Eibinger mucked his hand immediately, Foxen tabled {a-Clubs}{6-Spades} for the flopped pair of aces. Heath showed {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for the straight to triple up plus the ante.
