Mateos Doesn't Appreciate the Runout

Level 15 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

On a board reading {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{k-Spades}, three players were still left in the hand. Charlie Carrel bet 20,000 from the small blind and Adrian Mateos called from the big blind. Pablo Melogno raised to 55,000 from the cutoff which got Carrel to fold but Mateos still called.

The river was the {q-Clubs} which double-paired the board. Mateos checked and Melogno moved all in, putting Mateos to the test for his remaining 86,000 chips. Mateos let out a big sigh and shook his head as he tossed a time bank card into the middle, knowing that he needed extra time to think about this one. After nearly a minute, Mateos slid his cards to the muck and Melogno dragged in the pot.
