Cortes' Turn to Double Up

Level 21 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

The action folded to Mikita Badziakouski in the small blind and he shoved all in. Jesus Cortes was in the big blind and quickly called off his last 1,270,000 chips.

Jesus Cortes: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Mikita Badziakouski: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Cortes was in a dominating position and the board of {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{j-Spades}{7-Clubs} provided little sweat as he scored a double up. Badziakouski just lost all of the chips he won and is now down to just a single small blind.

More Heartbreak for Dvoress

Level 21 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski pushed out a raise to 400,000 from under the gun, leaving himself with just 235,000 behind. Daniel Dvoress announced all in on the button and Badziakouski quickly called.

Badziakouski was in rough shape with {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} against the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} of Dvoress. The flop came {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Badziakouski was still looking for an ace. The {7-Clubs} on the turn provided no help but the {a-Clubs} hit the river Badziakouski doubled up.

Charlie Carrel Eliminated in 6th Place (€327,930)

Level 21 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Charlie Carrel
Charlie Carrel

The action folded to Charlie Carrel in the small blind and he ripped all in for just over 1,000,000. Sergio Aido looked down at his cards in the big blind and made the call to put Carrel at risk.

Sergio Aido: {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Charlie Carrel: {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The flop of {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} got some "Oohh's" and "Aahh's" from the table as Carrel picked up a two-way straight draw. But the {2-Hearts} and {8-Spades} were of no help and Carrel exited the tournament in sixth place. With that pot, Aido has made a full comeback from the short stack to the chip leader.

Aido Climbing the Leaderboard

Level 21 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Sergio Aido raised to 200,000 in the cutoff and Daniel Dvoress defended from the big blind. The flop fell {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Dvoress check-called a bet of 300,000 from Aido.

The turn brought the {4-Diamonds} and Dvoress checked again. Aido used up a time bank before sliding in a bet of 825,000. Dvoress gave it a quick thought but decided to toss his cards to the muck.

Aido Picks Up a Pot Before the Break

Level 20 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Sam Greenwood opened to 160,000 on the button and Sergio Aido defended from the big blind. The flop came {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} and Aido checked to Greenwood who continued for 80,000. Aido called and the {q-Spades} on the turn put four spades on the board.

Aido checked again and Greenwood fired another 145,000. Aido called once again and the {8-Diamonds} completed the board. Both players knuckled the table and Aido turned over {j-Spades}{10-Hearts} for the winning hand.

The remaining six players are now heading on a 20-minute break after the first two levels have completed.

Wiktor Malinowski Eliminated in 7th Place (€264,860)

Level 20 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Wiktor Malinowski
Wiktor Malinowski

Sergio Aido raised to 200,000 on the button and Wiktor Malinowski pushed the last of his 570,000 chips into the middle. Aido instantly called and had Malinowski dominated.

Sergio Aido: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Wiktor Malinowski: {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Malinowski was still looking to hit an eight in order to stay alive. The {6-Spades} on the turn was no help and the {7-Diamonds} on the river eliminated Malinowski in seventh place.

Aldemir Bubbles the €100,000 Super High Roller

Level 20 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Koray_Aldemir
Koray_Aldemir

The action folded to Koray Aldemir in the cutoff who slid out a raise to 750,000, leaving himself with 480,000 behind. Daniel Dvoress eyed up Aldemir's stack and then announced all in. Aldemir quickly called and the cards were on their backs.

Daniel Dvoress: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Koray Aldemir: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

It was a massive coin flip on the bubble and the flop of {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} left Aldemir in the lead with his pair of nines. The {2-Clubs} on the turn didn't change anything but the {a-Spades} on the river did. Dvoress paired his ace and it was a disaster for Aldemir who was eliminated on the money bubble.

Greenwood Doubles Through Dvoress

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

The action folded to Daniel Dvoress in the small blind who announced all in, putting the bubble pressure on Sam Greenwood in the big blind. After looking at his cards, Greenwood sighed because he knew he had a big decision to make. He checked out the other stacks at the table and studied the tournament clock before making the call for his stack of 1,550,000.

Sam Greenwood: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Daniel Dvoress: {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Greenwood was in a dominating position heading to the flop of {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. Dvoress did have some chop outs but the {9-Clubs} nor the {3-Spades} was one of them, as he handed over the chip lead to Greenwood.
