Benjamin Pollak
Benjamin Pollak

Benjamin Pollak moved all in for 192,000 on the button and Steven van Zadelhoff gave it some thought from the small blind but decided to fold. Charlie Carrel, however, much to the demise of Pollak, made the call from the big blind.

Charlie Carrel: {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Benjamin Pollak: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} to give Carrel a flush draw to go with his two live cards. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and Carrel made his flush, leaving Pollak drawing dead to the {7-Diamonds} on the river.

The river completed the board with the {q-Diamonds} and they both checked again for Thorel to pick up the small pot with {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for the set of kings.

Aido Doubles Through Carrel

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Sergio Aido
Sergio Aido

Charlie Carrel was looking to abuse the money bubble and shoved all in from the hijack with the rest of the table covered. Sergio Aido snap-called off his stack of 406,000 in the cutoff and the rest of the table folded.

Sergio Aido: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Charlie Carrel: {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Aido was in good shape to double up and the flop of {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} changed none of that. The {a-Clubs} on the turn gave Carrel some straight outs but the {a-Spades} on the river sent the double up to Aido.

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel opened to 60,000 in the hijack and James Chen three-bet to 200,000 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Thorel who just called to see a flop of {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

Thorel instantly jammed all in for 234,000 and Chen dipped into the tank. After using one of his time banks, Chen elected to lay his hand down and Thorel stacked the chips.
