Mikalai Vaskaboinikau Eliminated in 9th Place (€180,070)

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Mikalai Vaskaboinikau
Mikalai Vaskaboinikau

Mikalai Vaskaboinikau was one of the short stacks coming into the day and was patiently waiting for a chance to get his chips in the middle. He finally found the opportunity to shove all in for 720,000 from under the gun and Sergi Reixach re-shoved all in from the hijack. The rest of the table folded and the two hands were tabled.

Sergi Reixach: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Mikalai Vaskaboinikau: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Vaskaboinikau was in trouble with the smaller pocket pair and the flop of {6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs} provided no help. In fact, the {10-Clubs} on the turn gave Reixach a full house and Vaskaboinikau was left drawing dead to the {a-Spades} on the river.

Grafton Shoves Twice

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Kahle Burns raised to 85,000 from the button and Sam Grafton shoved in the big blind. Burns asked for a count and the dealer confirmed Grafton had 820,000 behind. Burns looked at his cards once more and then folded.

The hand after, Grafton shoved again, now from the small blind to not get any action from Danny Tang.

Reixach Gets Paid Off

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Tsugunari Toma opened to 100,000 in the cutoff and Sergi Reixach called from the big blind. The flop fell {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} and both players checked to the {j-Spades} on the turn.

Reixach led out for 160,000 this time and Toma stuck around to see the {2-Spades} on the river. Reixach fired out another 210,000 and Toma looked him up. Reixach turned over {k-Spades}{10-Clubs} for top pair and Toma mucked his cards.

Burns Keeps on Betting

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Kahle Burns raised to 85,000 from the cutoff and was called by Sergi Reixach on the button and Danny Tang in the big blind.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, Tang checked, Burns continued with a bet of 100,000 which was called by both Reixach and Tang.

The turn brought them the {q-Hearts}, Tang checked again. Burns fired a bet of 400,000 over the line, Reixach folded but Tang needed a few seconds. He looked at his cards once more before folding.

"Weren't you scared that I might have a set of kings?" Tang asked Burns.

Burns shook his head, "Maybe that you had ace-king?"

Tang Plays It Safe

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Danny Tang opened to 85,000 in early position and was called by Steve O'Dwyer on the button and Sergi Reixach in the big blind. The flop came {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades} and the action checked around to the {k-Hearts} on the turn.

Reixach and Tang both checked again and O'Dwyer tossed in a bet of 190,000. Reixach called and Tang came along as well. The {8-Clubs} completed the board and all three players knuckled the table.

"I win," Tang announced. Reixach was the first to show and tabled {6-Spades}{5-Spades}. Tang quickly showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for trip kings and O'Dwyer mucked his cards.

"Low-frequency play," Tang suggested.

"Does zero count as low?" Kahle Burns chimed in.
