Butba Misfires Against Kitai
Level 17
: 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Belgian tournament mastermind Davidi Kitai is slowly but surely rising to the top in the EPT Monte Carlo Main Event. Against Said Butba, he collected another decent sized pot to move up to 915,000 in chips.
It was Butba who opened with a raise to 15,000 on the button and Kitai defended his big blind. Kitai check-called 15,000 on the flop before leading out 35,000 on the turn. Butba raised to 75,000, leaving himself with just 85,000 behind, Kitai shoved and Butba, caught on the spot, snap-mucked his hand.
