Talbot Loses a Chunk but then Busts Tang

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Parker Talbot
Parker Talbot

With about 400,000 in the pot, Fionn MacNamara in the small blind and Parker Talbot on the button each checked to a board of {9-Spades}{j-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. MacNamara bet 150,000 and Talbot called. On the {3-Clubs} river, MacNamara bet 350,000 and Talbot called right away.

MacNamara showed {a-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Talbot appeared less than pleased as he paid it off.

A bit later, Talbot bet 105,000 from the big blind on {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Spades} and Jia Tang called from middle position. The river was a {10-Hearts} and Talbot jammed for 350,000 effective. Tang sighed and flicked in a chip. Talbot tabled {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for trips and Tang showed {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} before hitting the rail.

"Still on tilt from that five," he told MacNamara. "I'm so nutted. If a five doesn't come you just pay me millions."
