Bendik Eliminated, Not Happy About It

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Jan Bendik was seen losing a sizable pot to Parket Talbot. With the board reading {2-}{3-}{4-}{5-}{9-} (the nine was the river, we're not sure in what order the other four cards appeared), Bendik paid off a bet of Talbot who showed {6-}{9-} for a turned straight. Bendik mucked and grumbled.

With his last four big blinds or so, Bendik got it in with {A-}{10-} against {K-}{Q-} with the latter improving.

Bendik, according to some players at the table, was heard saying several things in Slovak. According to the dealer, who was the one that the words were addressed to and happened to speak Slovak, the words weren't too kind.

Well, either way, he's out now while Talbot has 425,000 in front of him.

Teh Doubles Through Schuh for Chip Lead

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Natalie Teh
Natalie Teh

Natalie Teh raised to 6,500 from under the gun and Michal Schuh three-bet to 20,000 from the hijack. Action folded back to Teh who four-bet to 70,000 and Schuh called.

The flop came {5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, Teh continued with a bet of 50,000 and Schuh called again.

The turn was the {j-Spades}, Teh now checked and Schuh bet 75,000. Teh tanked for about three minutes before making the call.

The river completed the board with the {q-Spades}, Teh shoved for her last 66,000 and Schuh snap-called. Teh tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for the rivered set of queens which maddened Schuh so much that he crumpled his cards up. The dealer retrieved the cards which were {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and the floor was called over for a new deck. Schuh received a one-round penalty for his action.

Van Til Falls Short

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Johan van Til ran a bluff against Ognyan Dimov where he unsuccessfully check-shoved the river.

Left with just 11,500, he moved in over an early position raise not much later. Parker Talbot over called from the big blind because the initial raiser was not allowed to four-bet.

The initial raiser and Talbot checked down a board of {J-}{9-}{2-}{7-}{2-} and Talbot won with {6-}{6-} against {A-}{Q-} and Van Til's {A-}{K-}.

Khoury Busts Five From the Money

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Mazin Khoury opened for 6,500 from middle position and small blind Andrea Ricci three-bet to 20,000. The big blind folded and action was back on Khoury when he put in a tower of 5,000-chips worth about 120,000 or so with 27,000 back. Ricci shoved and Khoury called.

Mazin Khoury: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Andrea Ricci: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}

The flop of {2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} was a scary one for Ricci but the {A-Hearts} on the turn and {3-Hearts} on the river proved no good for Khoury.

179 players remain with 175 paid.
