Jasper Wetemans had a lot more chips than the last time we checked, so we asked him what had happened. He told us how he had opened under the gun plus one for 5,500 and his neighbor Joakim Bakke three-bet to 17,000. The action folded back to Wetemans who four-bet to 40,000 and called the shove for 148,500 that followed.

Wetemans had the goods with aces, Bakke had kings. While Bakke lost the hand after a clean runout, he still has well over double average left.

Yankov Eliminates Ladouceur

The player in the under-the-gun position raised to 7,000 and was called by Xixiang Luo in the hijack, and Krasimir Yankov in the cutoff. Marc-Andre Ladouceur was sitting in the big blind and took his time to consider his options. He glanced at the stacks of his opponents and then decided to shove. The initial raiser asked for a count and the dealer confirmed Ladouceur had 84,500 behind. After a few seconds, the initial raiser folded, so did Luo. Yankov confirmed the amount again, looked at his cards once more before making the call with the bigger stack.

The flop came for Yankov to sit on the flush draw but Ladouceur was still ahead.

The turn was the which didn't change the situation but the on the river gave Yankov the flush indeed. Ladouceur shrugged, rapped the table, got up from his chair, and made his way out of the tournament area.
