€50,000 EPT Super High Roller
Day 1 Started
On the fourth day of PokerNews' coverage of 2018 PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague, we bring you the biggest buy-in event of the festival, the start of the €50,000 Super High Roller.
This very special event will feature some of the best of the best no-limit hold'em players duking it out in an exclusive field for huge prizes. Superstars of the game like Sam Greenwood, Steve O'Dwyer and Timothy Adams have been battling in other events in the series and may be in attendance today.
Last year, Adams took this one down for €555,000 in a field of 34 runners, topping a final table that included Greenwood, Adrian Mateos and Mikita Badziakouski.
The unlimited reentry event is scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m. local time here in the Czech capital, although with how the super high rollers typically go, it remains to be seen whether that will actually be the case. Day 1 will be a short one as only eight levels are on the docket, each lasting one hour. Players start with 250,000 in their stacks and a double level of 500/1,000/1,000 kicks things off. A 30-second clock will be in play, and players get six time banks for their bigger decisions.
Entries and reentries are permitted throughout the day and up until the start of Day 2. Stay tuned to PokerNews to follow the nosebleed action from Hilton Prague.
