Nemeth Takes From Toma

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Andras Nemeth raised to 4,500 from the hijack and saw Tsugunari Toma call from the button before Charlie Carrel also came along from the big blind.

Carrel checked on the {j-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop and Nemeth bet 6,500. Toma responded with a raise to 17,500 and Carrel folded.

Nemeth made the call after a few moments of pondering, and they went heads-up to the {9-Diamonds} turn.

Nemeth checked, and Toma bet 28,500 after 20 seconds of thought. Nemeth called, and the river card was the {10-Diamonds}.

Nemeth checked again, and Toma checked his hand for the first time post-flop and opted to check behind.

Toma was met with the sight of {k-Spades}{9-Spades} and mucked his hand, with Nemeth's second pair good enough for the win.

Ropert Fires All Three Streets

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Corentin Ropert opened for 4,500 under the gun plus one and big blind Gergely Kulcsar called.

Kulcsar checked on {Q-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and called the 6,000 bet that followed. Kulcsar check-called another 16,000 on the {2-Spades} turn before check-folding to Ropert's 44,000 push on the {8-Spades} river.

Vieira Battles Boivin

Level 3 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Joao Vieira opened the action with a raise to 4,000 from the cutoff and saw Thomas Boivin three-bet to 15,000 from the small blind.

Vieira made the call, and they saw a {2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop. Boivin continued with the betting lead and placed 10,000 into the middle, which Vieira called.

Boivin slowed down on the {4-Diamonds} turn card by checking, and Vieira bet 8,500.

Boivin thought for 25 seconds before he made the call and checked on the {6-Spades} river.

Vieira announced 27,000 after 15 seconds of thought, and Boivin, who took down the first €25,000 No-Limit Hold'em earlier this week, instantly let his hand go.

Reeves Eliminated by Toma

Level 3 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Luke Reeves
Luke Reeves

With the flop down {a-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, Lucas Reeves moved all in for around 18,000 from under the gun and was snap-called by Tsugunari Toma from the hijack.

Lucas Reeves: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Tsugunari Toma: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Toma was ahead with top pair, but Reeves had immediate outs to the flush.

The turn {a-Clubs} improved Toma's hand to trips, and the pot was cemented in his favor after the river card fell the {5-Diamonds}.

Reeves departs the tournament and will have the option to reenter before the start of level 9.

Carrel Hits a Set

Level 3 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

The board was down {2-Hearts}{q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}, and there was a pot of 20,000 in the middle.

Charlie Carrel checked from the small blind, as did Corentin Ropert from the hijack.

The river card was revealed to be the {a-Clubs}, and Carrel pondered his next move for around 20 seconds before he checked and saw Ropert quickly check behind for a showdown.

Carrel tabled {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a set, and swooped in the pot after Ropert mucked.

Thorel the First to Fall

Level 3 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

We missed the big hand, but Sergi Reixach told us the details afterwards.

Reixach opened under the gun with {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Jean-Noel Thorel called from the big blind. Thorel check-called a flop of {10-}{6-}{5-} with two hearts. He check-called another bet on the {4-Hearts} turn that gave Reixach the flush. Reixach bet 42,000 on a blank on the river and Thorel called, only to get the bad news right away.

Left with just 2,000, he first tripled up but eventually lost his last chips with {J-Spades}{7-Hearts} to be the first to exit.
