Stern Eliminated, Gruissem Escapes
Ofer Zvi Stern was all in when we got to his table, having been called in three spots. The blinds checked to Philipp Gruissem on the flop. He bet 16,000 into the pot of around 40,000, and Martin Kabrhel came along from the big blind. Kabrhel came out betting small with 15,000 on the turn, and Gruissem called this time. On the river, Kabrhel thought awhile and moved all in. Gruissem had about 80,000 left.
After a couple of minutes, Kabrhel softly said, "Time please."
Gruissem protested, saying he hadn't really thought that long. A player piped up in agreement and the clock was tabled for the moment. About three minutes later, Kabrhel asked for the clock again. Gruissem decided to fold, and Kabrhel showed for a flush. Stern had , and Gruissem celebrated, saying he folded a king.
