Sekiya Wins a Pot on a Masked Table
After the break, half of one table began wearing surgical masks including Matas Cimbolas with nobody at the table wearing a mask before the break.
Cimbolas was the only player of the four that were wearing masks to remove his as he expressed his interest to breath better. During this time two unmasked players were involved in a preflop pot. Yosuke Sekiya three-bet shoved for over 62,000 chips against Valdo Banicevic who opened for 5,500. Banicevic, who earlier had a six-digit stack, folded to Sekiya to bring his chip count down to 40,000. Sekiya moved up to 75,000 without seeing a flop or needing to put on a mask.
After the hand, Cimbolas shared he might put his mask back on when involved in a pot.
Meanwhile, it appears more likely than not that the bubble will break on Day 2 as the tournament is about 50 players from the money.
