Tsoukernik Bluffing it Off to Carrel
Level 6
: 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Leon Tsoukernik opened to 6,000 under the gun and called a reraise to 20,000 from Charlie Carrel. Both players checked down a runout until Tsoukernik fired 20,000 on the end. Carrel called after some thought, and Tsoukernik showed for king-high. Carrel tabled jacks and dragged the pot.
Just after that, the same two players engaged in a blind-versus-button battle. The board ran out , with Carrel check-called 29,000 on the turn and Tsoukernik opting to check back the river. Carrel showed and Tsoukernik couldn't beat it.
After the hand, Tsoukernik said his plan was to reenter and bust Carrel on the bubble on Day 2. Carrel quipped that he usually wouldn't make it that far.
