Badziakouski Doubles; Katchalov Misses Royal Flush Draw

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Eugene Katchalov
Eugene Katchalov

Eugene Katchalov opened the action to 1,800 from the hijack, Jorryt van Hoof called from the button before Liviu Ignat squeezed to 8,400 out of the small blind. A shortstacked Mikita Badziakouski committed his remaining 15,900 from the big blind, which led to Katchalov shoving over for almost 70,000. That was too steep a price for van Hoof and Ignat who both folded, and the hands were on their back.

Eugene Katchalov: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Mikita Badziakouski: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

"That's pretty good for me", Badziakouski said, and on a flop of {Q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} the Belarusian stayed in front.

The turn {Q-Diamonds} gave Katchalov additional outs to either counterfeit the tens or hit a diamond, but it was not to be. The river was the {6-Clubs}, and Badziakouski scored the double.
