Metaal Keeps Crushing, Del Piero Eliminated

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Govert Metaal
Govert Metaal

Govert Metaal just recapped a hand for us that boosted his stack up to over 700,000, and on the very next hand we saw that man of which he won the chips get knocked out.

Metaal raised before the flop with {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and got called by Enzo Del Piero. The flop brought out {10-Spades}{A-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Metaal saw his continuation bet get called. On the turn the {7-Diamonds} hit and now Metaal bet 30,000. Del Piero raised to 75,000 and Metaal made the call.

On the river Del Piero bet 80,000 and Metaal quickly called, tabling his straight. Del Piero flashed his ace and mucked, leaving himself with about 150,000 chips.

After lingering away from the table, we caught Del Piero all in on the very next hand against Usman Siddique. The flop showed {2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} when the cards were turned up, and the showdown went as follows.

Siddique: {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Del Piero: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

The board ran out {J-Hearts}, {3-Diamonds} and Siddique made a flush to send Del Piero out the door.
