Sweet Start for Spinella

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante
Anthony Spinella
Anthony Spinella

Anthony Spinella just raked in a big pot, and Vlad Lache was kind enough to bring us up to speed with the action as Spinella's opponent was deep into the tank on the river.

Lache explained how Spinella raised to 450 and after one player called it was Bahram Chobineh who three-bet to 1,350 from the small blind. Both Spinella and the third player involved called, putting {J-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} on the flop.

Chobineh bet 2,000 on the flop and only Spinella called.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and Spinella called another 4,000. On the river the board completed with the {7-Spades} and Chobineh bet 6,500.

Spinella raised it up to 19,000 and Chobineh thought for a long time before calling, and revealing {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} for a flopped set. Spinella showed {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a flopped straight, and he took down this big pot.

Spinella now sits on around 60,000 chips, while Chobineh was left with 10,000.
