Mercier With the Big Call

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

Charlie Carrel was the initial raiser but it would all be between Mercier and Shak post flop. The flop was {3-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Mercier lead out from the big blind for 18,000. Carrel folded from the hijack, Shak called from the cutoff.

The {J-Diamonds} hit the turn and Mercier now bet 38,000. Shak was again the one quick to call.

The {K-Spades} completed the board and Mercier checked his option. Shak moved all in, putting Mercier to the test for his last 194,000. The PokerStars Team Pro huffed and puffed for some bit, but eventually called reluctantly with a pained face.

Shak showed {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} and the pot went to Mercier as he tabled {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}.
