Kanit and Bertilsson Play the Biggest Pot of the Tournament
With the blinds having just gone up, Anton Bertilsson in the hijack made it 60,000 to go. On the button, Ivan Luca made the call before action got to big blind Mustapha Kanit. The Italian high roller squeezed to 215,000 with 1,324,000 behind.
Bertilsson thought about it for just a bit before shoving all in for almost 1.9 million. Luca didn't need much time making up his mind and folded just about right away. Kanit needed some more time though and sighed long and hard.
He eventually tossed in some 1,000 chips to call, though he wasn't overly excited doing so. When he saw the showdown, that all changed:
Mustapha Kanit:
Anton Bertilsson:
The board ran out and Bertilsson parted ways with a lot of chips. Kanit, still with a straight face, counted out his 1,539,000 stack and raked in the biggest pot of the tournament.
