Kornuth Busts Kempe

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Chance Kornuth opened under the gun for 15,000 and Keith Johnson made the call. Rainer Kempe, already short with just about 61,000, squeezed all in and action folded around to Kornuth. Kornuth asked to see how much Johnson was playing, and then moved in over the top. Johnson folded just about right away.

Rainer Kempe: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Chance Kornuth: {K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The flop came {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, leaving Kempe just about drawing dead. The {9-Hearts} on the turn really sealed the deal and the {8-Clubs} on the river was of no importance anymore.

"If I had known this to be the flop, I would have just called" Kornuth laughed to Johnson, while Kempe gathered his things and made his exit.
