It's Time For Day 1 of the €10,300 EPT12 Prague High Roller
One of the most popular tournaments on the European Poker Tour commences at 12:30 pm CET today when the €10,000+€300 buy-in no limit Hold'em High Roller Single Re-Entry 8-Handed event takes place.
The Season 11 edition of this exciting tournament saw 233 unique entries and 76 rebuys, pushing the prize pool north of €3,000,000. As you'd expect from such a high buy-in event, some of the world's best poker players turned out for the event including the likes of Dario Sammartino, Nicolas Chouity, and Martin Finger.
Russia's Andrey Zaichenkno is the reigning champion having finished on top after a three-way deal that locked up a cool €487,190. Also part of that deal were second place finisher Laurynas Levinskas (€412,910), and Francois Billard of Canada (€405,260).
Anyone buying into this season's event receives 50,000 tournament chips for their investment and gets to play to hour-long blinds that start at 100/200 with a running ante of 25. Day 1 sees 10 such levels played, with Tuesday's Day 2 also playing 10 levels unless the field is reduced to only eight players before then.
