Smaron Doubles Into the Chip Lead

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

In the very next hand, Jaroslaw Sikora limped the small blind and then called when Kenneth Smaron raised to 325,000 from the big. The {6-Clubs}{7-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop saw Sikora check-call a bet of 300,000, and then check for a second time on the {5-Clubs} turn.

Smaron bet 630,000, Sikora tanked for a bit before moving all in, and Smaron snap-called off for 2.74 million total.

Smaron: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Sikora: {10-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Sikora had flopped top pair with a solid kicker, but he was drawing dead to Smaron's flopped set of sevens. The meaningless {9-Spades} was put out on the river for good measure, and Smaron was shipped the big double.

Sikora Pulling Out to a Healthy Lead

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Kenneth Smaron opened for 200,000 from the button and Jaroslaw Sikora defended the big blind to see a {5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{a-Clubs} flop. Sikora check-called a bet of 100,000 and then proceeded to check-call bets of 225,000 and 575,000 on the {K-Clubs} turn and {J-Diamonds} river respectively.

"Queen high," Smaron admitted before showing the {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Sikora then tabled the {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds} to win the pot.

Ihar Soika Eliminated in 4th Place (€229,470)

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Ihar Soika
Ihar Soika

Another crazy hand has sent a player to the rail, although almost two players bust on the same hand.

Ihar Soika opened to 200,000 and Kenneth Smaron three-bet to 475,000 from the button. Felix Bleiker four-bet all-in for 2,360,000 only to see Soika re-shove and Smaron re-shove over him!

Bleiker: {A-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Soika: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Smaron: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}

The {k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop saw Smaron's aces hold firm, with the {2-Clubs} turn drawing some oohs and ahhs as a chop became a possibility. A chop is what happened when the {4-Spades} landed on the river, gifting Bleiker the same straight as a disappointed Smaron, busting Soika.

Soika Gives It Up on the Flop

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

There have been quite a few raise and takes, with the occasional three-bet sprinkled in. With the blinds so big, the chips are certainly moving.

In one recent hand, Ihar Soika opened for 200,000 from the button only to have Kenneth Smaron three-bet to 525,000 from the small blind. Soika thought for nearly two minutes before making the call and then snap-mucked when Smaron led out for 375,000.

Big Pot to Sikora in Last Hand of Level 27

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

A big hand just went down to close out Level 27.

It began when Felix Bleiker opened under the gun for 175,000 and Jaroslaw Sikora three-bet to 375,000 from the button. Both blinds folded, Bleiker called, and the flop came down {q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. Bleiker check-called a bet of 255,000 and then check-called ones of 325,000 and 510,000 on the {7-Hearts} turn and {10-Clubs} river respectively.

Sikora tabled the {q-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a rivered two pair, and it was good as Bleiker send his cards to the muck unseen.

We'll have updated chip counts on all four players in just a few moments.

Smaron Gets Paid

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Jaroslaw Sikora had climbed past the six million barrier, but has lost some ground after paying off a big river bet by Kenneth Smaron.

Smaron opened to 165,000 and Sikora called in the small blind. Both players checked the {3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop before Sikora led for 150,000 on the {4-Clubs} turn. Smaron called. The river was the {2-Spades} and Sikora made it 275,000 to see a showdown. Smaron had other ideas and raised to 1,050,000, and was called.

Sikora turned over {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Smaron the {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, the latter having turned a straight.
