Fares Moves Into Chip Lead

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #75: Schemion raised to 170,000 from the hijack with {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, and Lodden three-bet from the cutoff with {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}. It was folded back to Schemion, who let it go.

Hand #76: Garcia raised from the button with {10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Fares called from the small blind with {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Fares checked a flop of {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} and Garcia bet out 115,000. Fares called and the turn card was the {a-Clubs}. Both players checked. The river was the {3-Diamonds} giving both players two-pair, Fares with a higher two-pair. Fares bet 350,000 and Garcia thought for a while, counting out the chips before calling. With this hand Fares moved up to around 4,700,000 in chips, increasing his lead whilst Garcia is now officially the short stack with 760,000.

Hand #77: Johnny Lodden raised to 100,000 under the gun with {a-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Fares three-bet from the button with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} to 220,000. Action folded back to Lodden who mucked.

Hand #78: Action was folded to Schemion in the small blind who woke up with Aces; {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}. He completed and Lodden checked his option with {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. The board was {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Schemion reached for his chips and Lodden immediately mucked before Schemion had a chance to bet. "Show them," asked Schemion, and Lodden obliged, as Schemion also turned over his aces.

Hand #79: Lodden raised to 135,000 with {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} from the small blind, and Mateos three-bet to 350,000 with {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} from the big blind. Lodden asked how much Mateos was playing, and eventually folded.
