"How Much Do You Have?"
After all the cards had been dealt, Ole Schemion asked his next door neighbor Leonid Markin how much he had. Markin replied he had about 300 to start the hand.
Action then folded to Schemion in the small blind and he limped in. Markin checked his option from the big blind.
The flop came and both players checked.
Schemion bet out 31,000 on the turn and Markin made the call.
The fell on the river and Schemion bet 80,000. This sent Markin in the tank.
"Did you ask how much I had after you checked your hand, or before?" Markin asked. Schemion told his opponent he had seen his hand before he asked. Markin almost instantly called after hearing that.
To almost everyone's surprise, including Markin, Schemion then showed . Markin mucked, leaving himself with just 150,000.
