Touma Gets There

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

We just caught some action between Steven Warburton and Amir Touma.

The flop was {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Touma checked to Warburton who bet 230,000. Touma made the call and the turn was the {8-Hearts}.

Touma checked once again, and this time Warburton bet 380,000.

Touma called once again, and the river brought out the {A-Spades}, and Touma checked right away.

Warburton went into the tank before checking behind, and Touma tabled {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} for a rivered pair of aces. Warburton made a sour face and mucked his cards, as he dropped down a bit.

Hand for Hand Requested

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Both John Juanda and Frederik Jensen are once again raising the issue of the two tables playing at a different pace. The players at the outer table do not want to stall to slow down their pace, but the word seems to be that they might in order to compensate for the amount of extra hands they are playing.

The start-of-the day chip leader has just been knocked out, and with that we are down to one table of nine. Peter Eichhardt moved all in from the small blind for 1,045,000 and Denys Shafikov made the call from the big blind.

Shafikov: {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Eichhardt: {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Eichhardt's run ended in tenth place. The remaining nine players are now guaranteed to take home at least €104,000, and there will be a full redraw right now for the final table.

Time for the Final Redraw

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

With just 9 players remaining (all guaranteed €104,000), the final redraw of the tournament is being done. Players return for the official final table of nine as soon as that's done. The plan for tonight is to play from the unofficial final table of 9 down to the official final table of 8, and stop to make a final table photo. Then play continues till only 6 remain.

Hands 1-2: Juanda Rakes in a Monster Pot

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
John Juanda
John Juanda

Hand #1: Victor Bogdanov raised to 200,000 under the gun and he picked up the blinds and antes.

Hand #2: John Juanda raised under the gun to 200,000 and Amir Touma called from the cutoff, even though he put in more chips. Touma didn't put in enough to raise, and it was ruled a called. Bogdanov called as well, and the flop brought out {7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}.

The action was checked around and on the turn it got checked to Touma who bet 300,000 and Bogdanov called. Juanda went into the tank for a while before check-raising to 1,050,000. Touma took quite a bit of time, but eventually he slid forward enough green chips to make the call. Bogdanov folded, and two players went to the river.

With 3.14 million in the pot, the river brought the {4-Spades}. Juanda was first to act with 4.86 million left behind, and he was covered by Touma with 5.58 million. Juanda put together a bet of 1.85 million. The number 10 on the all-time live tournament money list pushed the chips forward, and Touma went into the tank.

Touma put aside the chips to make the call, but after six minutes he ultimately folded his cards.

Hand 3: Double Up for Sanchez Cano

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #3: Mario Sanchez Cano shoved all in under the gun for a total of 1,380,000 and Denys Shafikov was quick to call when it folded to him. The players behind them all folded and it was time to put the cards on their backs.

Denys Shafikov: {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Mario Sanchez Cano: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Sanchez stayed in the lead. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn was no harm and neither was the {Q-Diamonds} on the river. Double up for the lone Spaniard in the field.

Kempe: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
