The Squeeze Works

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Pablo Gordillo opened under the gun to 160,000 with {K-Spades}{9-Spades}. Anthony Ghamrawi on the button made the call holding {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}. Marko Neumann in the small blind with {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades} seemed interested as well and squeezed to 600,000.

The big blind folded and action was back on Gordillo. He folded his king-nine and Ghamrawi was the only one Neumann had to get by. That didn't turn out to be too big a problem, Ghamrawi folded as well and Neumann took it down with the squeeze.

Frei Dilling Eliminated in 7th Place (€108,100)

Marko Neumann raised to 165,000 under the gun with {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Frei Dilling three-bet from the hijack to 380,000 with {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. The action folded back around to Neumann and he made the call after some hesitation.

The flop brought {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Neumann checked right away to his Danish opponent who bet 240,000. Neumann casually grabbed the chips to make the call and put them across the line.

On the turn the {4-Diamonds} hit and Neumann checked again, this time holding two pair. Dilling tanked for a bit and put together a bet of 860,000. Neumann put together the call again and the river brought the {8-Diamonds}.

Neumann locked up the hand and checked again. Dilling stared at Neumann for a bit before he moved all in for 2,425,000 and the German pro went deep into the tank. Dilling's stack was counted down and eventually Neumann made the call.

Dilling was knocked out in a massive pot and Neumann grabbed a commanding chip lead!

Top Pair Versus Second Pair

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

In hand 50 of the final table Anthony Ghamrawi opened to 165,000 under the gun with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Action folded to Pablo Gordillo on the button who called with {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Oleksii Khoroshenin in the big blind called as well with {A-Clubs}{6-Spades} and they were off three way to the flop.

{A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Something for everyone but Gordillo. Khoroshenin checked and Ghamrawi bet 235,000. With top pair Khoroshenin made the call after Gordillo already had folded his pocket threes.

{5-Diamonds} on the turn and with 1,075,000 in the pot, Khoroshenin checked again. Ghamrawi checked behind and both players checked the {Q-Diamonds} on the river as well.

The pot went to the big blind as he took over the chip lead.

Gordillo Bluffs and Wins

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Anthony Ghamrawi raised to 165,000 from the hijack with {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Simeon Naydenov called from the button with {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. Pablo Gordillo called from the big blind with {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and he checked the {J-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop.

Ghamrawi was next to act and he bet 225,000, which got Naydenov to fold right away. Gordillo called and on the turn the {10-Clubs} hit.

Gordillo checked again and now Ghamrawi checked behind. On the river the {7-Clubs} hit and Ghamrawi locked up the winning hand with ace-high. Gordillo grabbed chips and he bet 310,000 getting Ghamrawi to fold quickly.
