On a rare trip to the future (carried out exactly 60 minutes ago), I did a quick headcount at the final table. All eight players were still in their seats. Not all of them look happy, as the PokerStars Blog reports here.

Nanev Picks Up Some Chips

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Marko Neumann raised to 105,000 under the gun with {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and Rumen Nanev called from the hijack with {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Anthony Ghamrawi called from the big blind with {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and the flop brought out {6-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

Ghamrawi checked, as did Neumann and Nanev tanked for a bit before betting 155,000 and that was enough to take down the pot.

Gordillo Misses His Open Ended

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Dilling opened the button to 100,000 holding {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and Pablo Gordillo in the big blind made the call with {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

The flop brought {9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} and both players checked.

The {5-Diamonds} on the turn made Gordillo bet out 80,000 into the 265,000 pot. Dilling made the call in position and they were off to the river.

The {K-Diamonds} hit, top pair for Dilling. 425,000 in the pot and Gordillo checked. Dilling bet 340,000. Gordillo instantly folded.

Another Pot For Khoroshenin

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Oleksii Khoroshenin raised to 100,000 from under the gun plus two and Frei Dilling three-bet from the small blind with {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} to 275,000.

Khoroshenin tanked for 90 seconds before making the call, and the flop brought out {A-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}. Dilling checked and Khoroshenin decided to check behind.

On the turn the {9-Hearts} hit and Dilling checked to Khoroshenin who fired out 325,000 and his opponent quickly folded.

Again Tens for Nanev

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

The hand after he won a little pot with pocket tens, Rumen Nanev again got pocket tens.

He opened under the gun to 105,000 and just Frei Dilling in the big blind seemed interested. He had a big hand with {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} but decided to smooth call.

{Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Dilling checked to Nanev who, somewhat surprisingly, checked behind.

Dilling bet out 140,000 on the {K-Hearts} turn and Nanev called. The river brought the {7-Diamonds} into play and Dilling this time bet 465,000.

Nanev thought about it for some time, but eventually folded.

Nanev Fires Twice with Tens

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Rumen Nanev raised to 105,000 from the under-the-gun plus one position with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Anthony Ghamrawi peeked down at {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} from the button. Ghamrawi made the call and these players saw the flop heads up.

The flop brought out {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Nanev bet 85,000 and Ghamrawi made the call.

On the turn the {3-Clubs} hit and Nanev tanked a bit longer before betting 155,000, and Ghamrawi let go of his hand.

A redesign of the tournament room in Vienna has encouraged all eyes to focus on the Main Event. But the High Roller is out there too, the strange calm at the very eye of the storm. PokerStars Blog watches the silent men start their proceedings--and the full, sorry day for Jonathan Duhamel. Check it out by clicking here.

Ace-King For Naydenov

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Simeon Naydenov raised under the gun to 100,000 holding {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Anthony Ghamrawi called from the small blind with {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Marko Neumann, in the big blind, looked down at a {6-Hearts} and an unknown card, and he called as well.

The flop brought {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{5-Hearts} and both blinds checked to the Bulgarian pro who bet and picked up the pot.
