Ramdin Flopped It

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

In one of the last hands before the break, Victor Ramdin doubled. We had forgotten about that hand, but now it all got back to us.

Dutch player Rob Sterken had opened under the gun and received two calls including Victor Ramdin on the button.

The flop brought the {8-Hearts}, {6-Spades} and {5-Spades} on the table and Sterken didn't make a continuation bet. The other player also checked to Ramdin who pushed all in for 7,700. Sterken made the call, the other player folded.

"I hope you have an over-pair" Ramdin said. And Sterken did. Ramdin was afraid his flopped nuts wasn't save just yet, bit it kinda was. Ramdin turned over {7-Clubs}{9-Clubs} after Sterken showed his {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}.

Sterken was drawing thin and had to say good bye to his precious chips after the {J-Hearts} hit the turn. The {2-Spades} on the river was one more blank and Ramdin doubled.

Ramdin, smiling as ever, stacked the chips and said something along the lines of "Thank you, now I don't have to start drinking yet". Sterken's smile was a little smaller, but we did hear him snigger a little.
