Allera on the Brink

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Florence Allera and Ayaz Manji were two of the players who had called a preflop raise to see a four way flop and it was then checked all the way down to the river on a board reading {k-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

Allera checked and when Manji bet 22,000 she moved all in. They had very similar stack sizes and Manji thought long and hard about it. Allera promised to show if he folded as he was a good friend but after some more thought he made the call.

Allera had {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for a straight but the {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} gave Manji a rivered full house. He explained the reason he took the time he call was his worry about the bigger full house. No complaints from Allera who was left with less than one big blind and folded the next few hands.
