Phua Makes a Big Call

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Isaac Haxton opened the button for 36,000 and got called in both the small blind (Paul Phua), and the big blind (Daniel Colman).

All three players checked the {K-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} on the flop and before you knew it, the dealer had burned and turned the {K-Clubs}. Phua checked again, but Colman wasn't doing the same. The American player bet out 75,000 and Haxton quickly folded. Phua called.

The river came the {Q-Hearts} and Phua checked once more. Colman fired a healthy 180,000 bet and the decision was on Phua. Phua thought about it for some time, before calling.

Colman tapped the table in defeat, which signaled Phua to show his {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Colman mucked his hand, big pot to Phua.
