What Does It All Mean?
Twitter is such a beautiful thing. You can keep all your fans up to date about your progress in the tournament you're playing. Fans, backers, family, everyone knows what you're up to. But that 140 character limitation can be a pain. Add the very specific poker lingo to that and some tweets are hard to follow if you're not a poker and twitter expert.
EPT Berlin champion Kevin MacPhee is an expert at twitter. Just for the more inexperienced digital railers a little bit of a translation:
Fold down to 8 bbs & then shove, shove, double (last hand before break). 1st hand back I get it in w/ KQ on JT8dd-A vs TT for 65k... riv TFollow @KevinMacPhee
I folded to the point where I had just eight big blinds left. At that point I was able to shove two times and and I the last time and doubled my stack. That happened the last hand before the break. The first hand after the break I got all my chips in with on a board with two diamonds against someone with . That pot was 65,000, but the river was a giving my opponent quads.
Busto. Very happy with how patient I was today on the short stack. €2k later today... #EPTDeauvilleFollow @KevinMacPhee
That means I'm done. I'm very happy with how patient I was today playing the short stack. I will be playing the €2,000 tournament later today. #EPTDeauville
