Le Meur Darkens the Room
Gaelle Baumann may have been the last woman standing at this year's World Series of Poker main event, but she will not repeat that feat here in Deauville as she has just been eliminated.
We arrive at Baumann's table to see the board reading , Remi Le Meur sat with a pair of kings in front of him and Baumann standing from her chair and gathering her belongings. Baumann held for those of you who are interested.
According to the table chatter, it appears Steve O'Dwyer opened, Le Meur three-bet, another player cold-called and Baumann shoved. O'Dwyer folded and Le Meur re-shoved. Le Meur's kings held and he is now among the chip leaders, while everyone else — read that as the men here — will have moist eyes at the prospect of not seeing Baumann until the next major poker event.
