Welcome back to our coverage of Season 9 of the European Poker Tour Berlin. We're here for the third day of the €10,000 High Roller event. Yesterday's play saw 45 players become whittled down to the final seven. By the end of play, Team Pro Max Lykov led the final table with a stack of 1.683 million.
The eliminations came fast and furiously yesterday as the stacked field took their seats at the Grand Hyatt Berlin. Pros such as Bryn Kenney, Jan Heitmann, Michael McDonald, Marvin Rettenmaier, and Dan Smith all fell before the field hit the money.
When the field had just seventeen players left we were on the money bubble. Chris Brammer became the bubble boy when he fell at the hands of Aaron Lim. From there, everyone was guaranteed at least €22,000 and that's exactly what Georgios Karakousis and David Peters received. Also finishing in the money were Gautam Sabharwal, Artem Litvinov (€24,700), Igor Kurganov, AP Phahurat (€27,500), and Day 2 chip leader Ronny Voth (€30,300).
Jan-Peter Jachtmann became the unofficial final table bubble boy when he played a 1.4 million chip pot with Martin Kabrhel. With the final table set, the players decided to play on for a few levels instead of wrapping up for the night. During that time the final table saw its first casualty when Scott Seiver was eliminated in eighth place.
